Bastian Hughes

Bastian Hughes is a former HR manager, founder of "Berufsoptimierer" and host of the podcast of the same name.


He has been working as a career advisor, trainer and coach since November 2016. Through his experience in human resources, coaching and his editorial work as part of his podcast "Berufsoptimierer", he is familiar with current trends and developments in the job market and knows what is important for successful professional development. As a trainer, he works with various universities throughout Germany and trains their students on all topics related to starting a career.


"I believe in the strength of every person and the courage to pursue one's own goals. Often it's just a matter of taking the first step, the rest will follow. Everything you need for this is already within you."


Since he began working as a coach and consultant, he has already conducted more than 3,000 consultations and helped his clients find their dream position. Bastian Hughes' specialties include developing a strategy for career orientation, the entire application process, including salary negotiations, and positioning in social media.

In his free time, Bastian Hughes is a passionate photographer and mountain biker. He lives in the Allgäu with his wife Carolin.

  • Who is the online bootcamp intended for?

    Our bootcamp is aimed at all age groups, industries, genders and experience levels. We even place great value on diversity because you exchange ideas with one another and gain a new perspective. What our participants have in common: They want to change something. They take their professional lives into their own hands and want a job that really suits them. In the workshop, we will find out what this looks like and what you already have in you to achieve it. Sounds good? Then sign up now. :-)

  • Where do the workshops take place?

    Our workshops take place online using the Microsoft Teams tool. This means you can log in from anywhere. You don't even have to download any software. Cool, right?

  • How long do the workshops last?

    Our online bootcamp is divided into 3 modules. Each module lasts 2 hours.

  • When do the workshops take place?

    The 3 modules take place live every week in the evenings between 6 and 8 p.m. The current date doesn't suit you? No problem, just send us a short email to hallo@berufsoptimierer.de and we will inform you about new dates as soon as they are confirmed.

  • I don't have time for the appointments. What now?

    No, no preparation is required - what's exciting is what you do after the workshop. We'll give you valuable ideas and exercises to help you do that.
